Project Objectives

  1. To construct a Children's Village for 60+ children that also accommodates 6 village housemothers, one in each dormitory

  2. To provide Outreach Services that support families, and especially the elderly women, who now, or in the future, will care for orphans and vulnerable children in their village homes

  3. To conduct HIV-AIDS awareness programs for young adults and families

  4. To provide orphaned and vulnerable children support for school fees, books, required uniforms, materials, and school meals

  5. To refurbish existing primary school classrooms and build additional classroom space

  6. To refurbish medical facilities and establish a local Counseling and Treatment Center where HIV-AIDS testing can be done and where life-saving anti-retroviral medicines can be administered as part of a government-supported program

  7. To open a Vocational School which will teach job skills to orphans who cannot continue on in government schools

  8. To secure ongoing financial support and human resources to operate and maintain the infrastructure and programs that have been established while striving to increase project self-sufficiency
